Can be a nice lake, but cold as a witches teet. My oldest boy is a fishing guide on the Green River below the Flaming Gorge Dam.

That's because the water in the Green River comes out of the bottom the dam. Water on the lake surface is considerably warmer.

Some dude was there at 06:30 each morning that fished off the dock. The water didn't stay that pristine after breakfast though, I can assure you of that.

If by "glass waters" you mean sitting on shore drinking wine from glasses or beer from glass bottles because you can't take your boat out, then here you go (no I didn't take the pic and that isn't me on the sailboard -but that's what I have to deal with many days during the Summer):

You must be down on the Columbia Gorge with pics like that??? I have family down there and I go visit in the summer and they want me to bring the boat for the non wind days.....yeah right - it looks like that whenever I am there.

Yup and its sort of looking like it might be nuking tomorrow. Sure, I was out of town at a conference and it was in the mid-90s with almost no wind while I was gone. I get back and it looks like its going to nuke for the next week. Guess I'd better fuel up the D-Max and head out in search of flat water.
